About this session:

This presentation will provide an overview of a variety of portable, hand-held or backpack decontamination units that can be deployed in a variety of decontamination situations. Equipment such as electrostatics, UV, iHP, VHP, Foggers, etc. After identification of the appropriate chemicals, concentration and contact times, these devices can be utilized to rapidly and efficiently mitigate contaminated environments ranging from hospital rooms that housed patients with high risk communicable diseases, dorms where students have been diagnosed with transmissible infectious diseases, to athletic facilities and equipment used by participants with drug-resistant skin infections, and laboratory areas. These devices can be an effective supplement to a facility’s standard cleaning and disinfection protocols when additional decontamination measures are needed.
